We adopted Larry from Project POOCH in Oregon. It’s a nationally recognized non-profit dog adoption program where incarcerated youth train shelter dogs and find them homes. During the course of one year, Larry lived in three different shelters around Oregon before Project POOCH brought him to their facility. From the moment I first saw his adorable face on Petfinder, I knew he was meant to be part of our family. Now that family includes two young children who both love Larry dearly and he is very loving and protective of them. Today we celebrated our sixth anniversary with Larry. Every day I am grateful that he is part of our family. He is the sweetest, loving, and most neurotic dog who has ever been part of my life.
