My mother asked me to send this in for her. The tree is a tri-colored beech. It is a memorial spot for her oldest son,who has been gone for almost 3 years. The unicorn is from Joe’s daughter, and mother placed the cherub. She specially feeds cardinals, as she feels like the two sons she has lost come to visit. Thank you for letting us share.

Members of the Bishop Miege High School history club, the Graveyard S.H.I.F.T., assist with cleanup during community volunteer workdays on the fourth Saturday of each month (except for December, January, and February).

With direction provided by Elmwood board member, Bruce Mathews, the students raised funds to purchase headstone markers for nine children who were buried in unmarked graves for nearly a century.
